Elliot Cruz was in 4th grade when he first got the chance to play onstage, and play he did!…as Elf #4 in The Wishing Well. Since then, he has earned a degree in Theatre Performance from the University of Michigan, and he has continued to strive for the same truth and honesty that he found as Elf #4 all those years ago.
He has worked across the country as both an actor and a teaching artist and has reached over 6,000 students with his work. For over three years, Elliot toured Letters Home with Griffin Theatre, a play that presents real letters written by soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan onstage. Regionally, Eliot has worked with Northlight Theatre, Montana Shakespeare in the Parks and The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey, in addition to several Chicago-based companies. Elliot strives to not only give his students the tools to break down any script, but the confidence to make strong, actable choices that are rooted in the material. His ultimate goal is to build a work ethic in his students that perfectly balances thought and action.
